A road map has been prepared for Pakistan-India bilateral cooperation in trade and to remove technical and tariff barriers on trading products, Tariq Ikram, Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) says. After meetings with Indian Minister for Commerce Kamal Nath and Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh in New Delhi, Ikram said the issues relating to removal of technical and tariff barriers put up by India on Pakistani products, up-gradation of trade facilities at the border, to narrow down trade gap which was in favour of India and implementation of the road map already prepared by both the countries were discussed, according to an official statement. He said trade was moving in right direction and opportunities were explored. He wanted to boost bilateral trade with India, which has grown to $ 1.6 billion now. TDAP chief said single country exhibition would be held in Delhi next year in which Pakistani products would be put on display for their introduction to the traders and the people at large. Similarly, a high-level delegation from India would visit Expo Pakistan to be held in Karachi in March next year.
