Aziz delivered the following speech: " In the name of God - the Merciful Your Excellency - the President of the Federal Republic of Germany: May peace and God's mercy and blessings be upon you. Thank you for your invitation and the hospitality we have received. I am also pleased to express my thanks to you for your kind feelings that you have expressed. Your Excellency - the President: Germany has won the admiration of the world when it was able to rebuild what had been destroyed by the Second World War, and established an advanced economy. It also gained the admiration of the world, when it was able to bring about the reunification of the two parts of Germany after many thought that the unity is nothing but a kind of imagination. We are proud on our part, for our historical relations with Germany that goes back to eighty years. Your Excellency - the President: We were pleased to be able to welcome in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the German Chancellor and hold talks with her to develop bilateral relations, and I hope that our current visit, will provide a strong impetus to further consolidate cooperation in all fields, and to bring about a lasting fruitful dialogue between the two governments as well as between businessmen of the two countries. The free economy of the Kingdom welcomes German investments and guarantee them a favorable climate. We also welcome more German-Saudi projects. Your Excellency - the President: We are following with great appreciation the role that has been played by Germany in the international arena, a role which aims to establish peace in all volatile areas in the world, I believe that God Almighty granted the human beings the wisdom to be able to differentiate between good and evil, between extremism and moderation, and our region has suffered from the Arab-Israeli conflict, and we believe that the time has come to reach a just settlement to ensure the right of each party under the resolutions of the international legitimacy. I thank you and wish you success." Later, the King and the official delegation accompanying the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as well as senior officials of the Federal Republic of Germany attended a dinner party.
