Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh met here today with Deputy Administration Chief for President of Kazakhstan Dr. Maulin Ashimbaev. Dr. Ashimbaev welcomed the minister, saying "we consider the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as our important and essential partner in the Middle East". He pointed out that the President of Kazakhstan emphasized the need to deepen bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields, especially the economic relations. Dr. Ashimbaev emphasized that the visit of the minister will enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries. On his part, the minister thanked the Kazakhstani officials for good reception and hospitality, stressing on the mutual interest in many issues, particularly the issue of peace in the Middle East. He emphasized that Islam is fighting terrorism, spreading moderation in the Islamic societies and building mosques and Islamic centers.
