Interior Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states concluded their 26th meeting in Riyadh tonight, under the chairmanship of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Interior Minister. In addition to Saudi Arabia, the six-nation GCC comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and UAE. Following the meeting, Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah, Secretary General of the GCC, then read the following communiqué issued by the ministers of interior: The ministers thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the current rotating president of the Supreme Council of the GCC, the Vice-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ministry of Interior, led by its Minister Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, his deputy Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Interior Minister for Security Affairs and senior aides for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to them and the distinguished efforts exerted to make this meeting a success. The ministers congratulated Sheikh Jaber Khalid Al-Sabah on recently being appointed as Minister of Interior of Kuwait, wishing him every success and all the best for his predecessor Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, First Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense. -- More
