Twelve people were killed and three others seriously injured when a speeding truck collided with a bus in northeastern Syria, AP quoted the official news agency SANA as reporting. SANA said the accident occurred late Friday on the Hasakah-Tel-Temr road about 600 kilometers (375 miles) north of Damascus. Dr. Marwan al-Hammoud, head of an emergency clinic in the Hasakah province, told SANA that the injured were in critical condition and were being treated in an intensive care unit.
