A UN helicopter crashed in northern Liberia Friday, killing at least two, the UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) confirmed, according to dpa. The helicopter crashed between Ganta and Sanniquellie in Nimba County shortly after takeoff, UNMIL spokesman Ben Malor told journalists. The helicopter was heading to the border point of Lougatou near the Ivory Coast and was carrying food rations. A third crew member was missing. UNMIL said a team of investigators had been sent to the crash scene in the west African country.
