Countering rebels from the Kurdish Workers' Party, or PKK, and stabilizing Iraq and Afghanistan will highlight President George W. Bush's meeting with Turkey's prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Nov. 7 in Washington, the White House said Tuesday, according to AP. «The president looks forward to continuing discussions with the prime minister on a range of issues on our common agenda, including the fight against terrorism _ in particular our joint efforts to counter the PKK _ and the promotion of peace and stability in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and the broader Middle East,» White House press secretary Dana Perino said Tuesday. The two leaders also will discuss U.S. support to Turkey's accession to the European Union.
