The National Chambers of Commerce & Industry (NCCI) of Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan have entered into an agreement to establish Business Forum to promote trilateral trade and economic relations amongst three countries. This was stated by Tanvir Ahmad Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry ( FPCCl) on his return from Istanbul after attending the 8th general assembly meeting of ECO, CCl and ECO Business Forum. The trilateral joint initiative has been unanimously named as Istanbul Forum. The agreement has been signed by president of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisareikhogluy, president of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Ghulam Mohammed Yailaqi and president FPCCI Tanvir Ahmad who are also members of steering committee of the Istanbul Forum. Hisareikhogluy and Sheikh will be the first president and vice president of Istanbul Forum respectively.
