Kuwaiti newspapers welcomed today the visit being paid to Kuwait by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General. The newspapers devoted pages to monitor reactions to this visit, noting that a number of sheikhs and members of the Ummah Council have expressed their pride of the visit and welcomed the Crown Prince and the accompanying delegation to their second country. Al-Anba newspaper devoted a special supplement on this occasion highlighting the biography of the Crown Prince and his effective role in achieving the modern progress in the Kingdom in addition to his prominent role regarding various regional and international issues. Al-Watan newspaper pointed out that Crown Prince Sultan is one of the pillars of Saudi-Kuwaiti relationship, noting the historic stand of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the plight of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Al-Wasat, Alam Al-Youm, Al-Siyasah and Al-Nahar newspapers welcomed the visit and reported statements of Kuwait senior officials notably Speaker of Ummah Council Jassim Al-Khurafi who praised the visit for discussing the situations in the region particularly in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon. Al-Qabas pointed out that the Crown Prince's talks with Kuwaiti officials will be topped by combating terrorism and the march of Gulf Cooperation Council.
