An ultra-light aircraft crashed Thursday on the side of a highway in Tehran on Thursday, killing the pilot and a passenger, AP quoted state television as reporting. The broadcast said the plane was an ultra light training craft, the sort usually used on recreational flights. The plane crashed in the morning on a highway in a northeastern section of the capital. State TV said the two on board the craft were killed, but there were no casualties on the ground. The broadcast provided no further details on the cause or the type of aircraft.
