A Briton has undergone a successful heart operation at a Makkah specialist hospital after suffering from a colt during performing Umrah (minor Hajj) ritual in Makkah. In a statement, Dr. Khalid bin Yousef Yamani, Chief Cardiologist who performed the surgery, said S. Poland/ 58/ suffered from severe pains and breathing problems before being rushed to Al-Noor Specialist Hospital in Makkah the day before yesterday where diagnosis indicated 95% blocks of left and right heart arteries, necessitating prompt surgery to rescue his life. During the four-hour surgery, two bypasses: one from the chest and the other from the left leg of the patient were successfully inserted, Dr. Yamani said. On his part, the patient expressed deep gratitude for the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for the intensive care he received at the hospital, thanks to the advanced equipment and skillful medial team.
