Japan will inform the U.S. and U.K. within days that it will withdraw on Nov. 1 its naval refueling mission that supports U.S.-led operations in Afghanistan, AP quoted a news report as saying Sunday. Japan will tell the American and United Kingdom militaries that Japanese tankers will stop all refueling when a special anti-terrorism law authorizing the mission expires on Nov. 1, according to a report in the Nikkei, Japan's largest business daily newspaper. Defense officials were not immediately available for comment on the report.
