The Argentinean capital, Buenos Aires, will host on Feb 2-21, 2008, a meeting for the Arab foreign ministers with their Latin American counterparts. The meeting will prepare the agenda of the Arab-Latin American summit due to be held in Morocco next June. The Argentinean ambassador to Egypt said the meeting of the foreign ministers will be preceded by preparatory meetings at the level of experts in Buenos Aires. He noted that the first Arab-Latin summit was held in 2005 in the Brazilian capital. The Argentinean ambassador pointed out that the Arab-Latin summit will provide a good opportunity to lay foundation for a fruitful cooperation between the Arab countries and the countries of South America.
