Japan's Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda ruled out immediate sanctions against Myanmar Friday in connection with the death of a Japanese journalist during a crackdown on protests, REPORTED AP. «Sanctions are not the best step to take now,» Fukuda told reporters. Japan was to press Myanmar's military junta for a full explanation of the death of Kenji Nagai, who was among at least nine people killed Thursday when soldiers fired automatic weapons into a crowd of pro-democracy demonstrators.
