Prince Saud al-Faisal, the foreign minister and the head of the Saudi delegation to the meetings of the 62nd session of the UN'S general assembly, met here last night a group of representatives of the US media and the international news agencies. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Saud underlined the importance of tackling the Middle East dispute in a comprehensive manner for realizing a comprehensive and durable peace. Prince Saud who was responding to a question on the international conference for peace in the Middle East said the settlement of the dispute should pave the way for the Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Arab territories, establishment of an independent Palestinian state which can coexist with its neighbors. He noted that this issue was included in the paper presented by the committee of the Arab peace initiative to the quartet. --more
