Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi foreign minister, has underscored the importance of reaching a national reconciliation in Iraq. Responding to questions from the National Public Radio, Prince Saud said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had participated in the meeting of Iraq's neighboring countries which called for non-intervention in Iraq. As regards Iranian intervention, he said Iran itself confesses its intervention in Iraq. 'It is an essential matter to practice self-control and to avoid intervention in the Iraqi affairs because intervention will further complicate the situation in Iraq', he noted. --MORE
