Presidents Hugo Chavez, of Venezuela, and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, of Brazil, met Thursday in the northern Brazilian city of Manaus to debate energy cooperation, according to DPA. "Energy cooperation will receive special attention from the presidents, especially as regards joint Petrobras-PDVSA projects like the Great Gas Pipe of the South, the exploitation of the Carabobo oil field and the construction of the Abreu e Lima Refinery," the Brazilian Foreign Ministry said.
