The Ports in Saudi Arabia handled more than 2 billion tons of cargo during the past 31 years and became an outlet for about 95% of the Kingdom's exports and imports, according to a report issued by the Saudi Ports Authority. "The number of Ports in the Kingdom until the end of 2006 reached eight with a total of 184 piers capable of receiving the biggest ships in the world and operating around the clock throughout the year.
