The Saudi embassy in Tokyo has celebrated the 77th anniversary of the Kingdom's National Day which falls on September 23. The reception party was attended by a number of senior Japanese officials, members of the Parliament in addition to the accredited Arab, Muslim and Foreign ambassadors to Japan, as well as businessmen, notables and members of the Saudi community in Japan. The participants of the reception party watched a documentary film on tourism in the Kingdom and aspects of development in the country. Some publications in Japanese, English and Arabic languages about the Kingdom were distributed to the guests. Speaking on the occasion, Saudi ambassador to Japan Faisal Hassan Tarrad said celebration of the national day provides a good opportunity to shed light on the great efforts exerted by King Abdulaziz to unify the country. He noted that the sons of King Abdulaziz have been following the footsteps of their great father and leading the country on the path of progress and development. The ambassador pointed out that the Kingdom has been enjoying the respect of the Japanese government and people. Highlighting he existing friendly relations between the Kingdom and Japan, the ambassador said about 200 Saudi students have recently joined the Japanese universities.
