The fund has also been extending administrative, financial and marketing consultations for the projects which are financed by it. The agricultural bank, established in 1382, has been playing a significant role in the process of agricultural development in the country. The bank provides the farmers with interest-free and soft loans. Up to the end of the fiscal year 1425-1426, the bank extended about sr 38 billion worth loans in addition to subsidies amounting to sr 12.75 billion. The Saudi credit bank which was established in 1393, extends loans to the youth who are planning to get married or to those concerned with some vocational projects. Up to the end of the fiscal year 1426-1427, the bank extended about sr 9.6 billion worth loans. Meanwhile the finance ministry has been carrying out a program for extending local loans to the private sector for implementing some projects like hotels, tourism resorts, hospitals, agricultural and press projects as well as bakeries and dates factories. Up to the end of the fiscal year 1425-1426, sr 5627 million worth loans were extended under this program.
