Ten people were Sunday confirmed to have been killed and six were missing after a typhoon struck South Korea, according to a report. The victims were from parts of the country that were worse affected by Typhoon Nari, according to the Yonhap news agency. The storm lashed at the resort island of Jeju and areas in the south and east of the country with heavy rains causing flooding, DPA reported. On Jeju alone, five people were killed. Four were still missing, Yonhap reported quoting local police. Televised images showed cars piled up and flooded roads. Authorities said the storm moved in a northeasterly direction toward the sea between South Korea and Japan.
