This year's CONMEX, Middle East's largest display of construction machinery, equipment, vehicles, attachments and spares will be held at Expo Center Sharjah on November 5-8. The exhibition will host more than 280 brands from 23 countries including Saudi Arabia, UK, UAE, Australia, China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan (ROC), Italy, Germany, Russia, Slovenia, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, US, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Belgium, Ireland and Iran. “The Middle East construction sector has been experiencing unprecedented expansion in the recent past,” said Saif Al-Midfa, director general, Expo Center Sharjah. It is estimated that currently over $1 trillion worth of projects have already been planned or are under way in the GCC region, according to a report published today by Arab News. The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain are expected to spend further $150 billion on infrastructure over the next three years.
