Noriega loses appeal to halt extradition

Former Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega lost
an attempt to deflect an extradition order Friday, when a Miami judge
declared his allegations were "proven to be untrue", according to DPA.
Noriega's lawyer claimed that his client was to be whisked away
"under the cover of darkness" and extradited to France even before
his Sunday relase from jail, and had obtained a stay of the order on
Thursday based on the allegations.
