A Saudi relief plane heading for Mauritania left Riyadh today, the first within a relief airlift ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to help alleviate the sufferings of flood-stricken people in the Mauritanian city of Al-Taintan. Taking off from King Khalid International Airport, the plane was laden with 72311 tons of foodstuffs, tents and blankets totaling 1583 pieces.
