A dozen people were reportedly killed Thursday in Batna, eastern Algeria, according to France Info radio, according to DPA. The attacker blew himself up amid a crowd waiting for President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in central Batna, the report said. The president was not at the scene when the attack occurred. Bouteflika had visited the victims in hospital, sources said.
