British Middle East Association today organized a symposium on "Investment Opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" in which a number of officials, industrials and business and economy and investment men from the Saudi Arabia and Britain participated. At the outset of the symposium, Baroness Liz Symons, former Secretary of State for Foreign Office and current chairman of the Saudi British Joint Commercial Council, welcomed the scheduled visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Britain in October 2007, saying that the United Kingdom attaches great emphasis on this historic visit which would definitely promote the spiraling relations between the two friendly countries. In an address before the symposium, she lauded the role played by British businessmen in enhancing commercial and economic cooperation ties between the two countries, describing investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as numerous and calling on British businessmen to seize this opportunity to join tens of British companies doing business in Saudi Arabia. --More
