Gunmen ambushed a vehicle carrying paramilitary soldiers in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday, killing at least two of them and one passer-by before fleeing, police said. The attack happened in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan province where tribesmen have waged a low-level insurgency to gain more wealth for natural resources extracted from their areas, said Rahu Khan Brohi, an area police chief. He said only two soldiers were aboard the vehicle at the time, and that they died at the scene. Brohi provided no further details, and only said officers were still investigating, according to a report of the Associated Press.
