The Arab Council for Childhood and Development will organize here soon a symposium entitled "Street Children Safety and Protection" under the patronage of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, The Council's Chairman. A number of experts and delegates of governmental bodies, private sectors and International organizations will participate in the symposium. The aim of the symposium is prompted by a call made by Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, the Council's President in which he had invited everyone "to ensure that no Arab child sleeps in the street." The symposium will also address the reality of street children in the Arab world who are subjected to flagrant violations of their rights, focus on the latest programs to protect these children, to review efforts by the Arab Council for Childhood and Development in this area after the adoption of the Arab strategy for the protection of street children whose first phase is being implemented in five Arab countries.
