U.S.-led coalition and Afghan security forces aided by air strikes killed about 25 militants during raids on a Taliban command center in southern Afghanistan, the coalition said Sunday. The joint force raided two compounds southwest of Kanawha city late Saturday after weeks of observing the area, it was quoted as saying by the Associated Press. The clashes, in which the troops also called in air strikes, left 25 suspected militants dead, the coalition said. No coalition or Afghan soldiers were injured, it said.
