Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid M Kasuri has phoned the new Turkish President, Abdullah Gul, and congratulated him on his victory in the presidential election, said an official statement. Gul told Kasuri that he attached highest priority to relations with Pakistan and said he would work towards bringing the unique relationship even closer. The foreign minister extended on his own and on behalf of the Pakistan government heartiest felicitations to President Gul on his victory in the Turkish presidential election. The two leaders reiterated their resolve to pursue their shared vision of peace and development for the people of the two countries.
