The Secretary General of Mauritania's Ministry of Interior Mohammed Al-Hasan Wild Mohammed Saad extended thanks to and appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, for the prompt assistance provided for flood-stricken people in the Mauritanian city of Al-Taintan and the provision of a grant of $20 million to help alleviate the sufferings of flood-hit people. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Mauritanian senior official said the Saudi relief assistance was great and noble. Moreover, it points to the greatness of their sender: the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his care of the government and people of Mauritania, the official said. He added that the Government and people of Mauritania have considered this assistance a good-omen as it has ushered into assistance from other countries to the needy in Al-Taintan. He described the Saudi relief assistance as a kind humanitarian gesture by a generous country as it is not a strange behavior by the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who was always the forerunner of good doing in all parts of the world. He described the Saudi assistance as the greatest in size and meaning among other assistance received from other countries. In the end, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior extended thanks to and appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, for the prompt assistance provided for flood-stricken people in the Mauritanian city of Al-Taintan and thanks to and appreciation of the Saudi relief delegation currently visiting Mauritania.
