An amount of SR 3.6 billion has been allocated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for the construction of 1,010 health centers all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Minister of Health Dr Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Manei said contracts amounting to SR 1.6 billion have also been signed for the third phase of the project that will complete 440 health centers. Three sanitary hospitals will also be built namely Al-Amal and the Sanitary Hospital, both with 300-bed capacity in Dammam and a 200-bed capacity hospital in Abha, the Jeddah-based Saudi Gazette reported today. Dr.Khalid Marghalani, MOH spokesperson said the health care centers will offer the latest health care services including those by family physicians.
