Police in western Canada say six people died and 19 were taken to a hospital after a pickup truck plowed through a crowd leaving a wedding celebration, according to AP. Police said Saturday 25 to 30 people were walking along a road on Friday night when the truck hit them. Police Constable Casey Vinet said many of the victims were related. Twelve ambulances and two helicopters transported the injured to hospital. The injuries range from minor to serious, police said. Some had already been released Saturday. Three of the dead are men, the other three are women, but police have not released their identities. «It's just terrible» Vinet said. «I've been told by one our senior officers with more than twenty years of experience that this is one of the most difficult scenes he's ever witnessed.» Vinet said the driver was questioned but has been released. Vinet said alcohol and drugs were not a factor. Police are still trying to figure out what happened.
