Two-way trade between Vietnam and Canada reached more than 442 million USD in the first half of this year, including over 315 million USD worth of Canada-bound exports, a year-on-year increase of 26 percent, VNA reported. Canada mainly imports footwear, clothing, seafood, cashew, coffee and house ware from Viet Nam. Meanwhile, Viet Nam-bound exports include fertilisers, leather, medicines, machinery, wood and chemicals. Vietnam ranks second among the 10 biggest exporters to Canada in the first six months of this year in terms of the export value of coconut products and cashew nuts, which amounted to 8.32 million USD; and ranks third in terms of pepper exports with 1.23 million USD.
