Only one passenger has been pulled from the water after a boat carrying 16 immigrants capsized off the Greek island of Chios in the eastern Aegean Sea, the state broadcaster NET reported Friday. The immigrant from Mauretania was rescued by fishermen after the boat went down Thursday, the report said. Rescuers continued to search for the other passengers Friday morning, according to DPA. The 15 people were missing after trying to cross the eight-kilometre-wide strait between Turkey and Chios.
