Two people were killed and 36 others injured in a head-on collision involving a bus and a truck on Wednesday in northeast China's Jilin Province, Xinhua reported. A 47-seat bus crashed into the front of a truck in the morning on a section of rural road in Changchun, capital city of Jilin, according to the city's traffic police. The overloaded bus was carrying about 60 people, the police said, adding that a few km before a traffic inspection station, the bus driver turned to a rural road in a hurry and the bus collided with the truck, killing two passengers on the bus. The bus driver made the detour because he was afraid of being fined for overloading, the police said. The injured have been taken to hospital.
