The fire, which broke out in the 16-storey Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) building Karachi Sunday night has been controlled, officials said. The fire was extinguished after an eight-hour operation, a fire brigade official said. Four snorkels and a fleet of fire tenders participated in the operation while the helicopters of Pakistan Navy took part in the rescue work. The cause of fire has not yet been ascertained. Ports and Shipping Minister Babar Ghouri did not rule out sabotage and said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
