President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa received at his office here today the Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mohammed bin Mahmoud Al-Ali who bade him farewell on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Colombo. During the meeting, the Sri Lankan President conveyed his greetings to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and their rational government for the support they rendered for the Government and people of Sri Lanka in several fields. On his part, the Sri Lankan president thanked the Saudi Ambassador for the efforts he exerted during his term of office in Sri Lanka which contributed to the promotion of bilateral relations between the two counties, wishing him success in his new assignment.
