One of the two kidnapped Belgian tourists who were abducted by bandits in southeastern Iran was released, an official from the Rasoul Akram military base announced Wednesday. Colonel Mohammad-Javad Asna-Ashari told 'IRNA' that the forces of the military base in Sistan-Baluchestan province succeeded to release the woman tourist, Carla, on Tuesday. Carla and her husband, Estefan, were abducted by bandits on Sunday while traveling by a private car in an area called Fahrouj between the city of Bam in Kerman province, southeast Iran, and the city of Zahedan, capital of the Sistan-Baluchestan province. "Forces of the Rasoul Akram military base are making further efforts to release Carla's husband," said the colonel.
