Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Deputy General President of Youth Welfare, Deputy Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and Member of the International Olympic Committee, has paid an official visit to the US Olympic Committee in the city of Colorado Springs at an invitation of William J. Hybl, Member of the International Olympic Committee, and Honorary President of the US Olympic Committee. During his visit which took place yesterday, Prince Nawaf met with Hybl in the presence of Bob Stefrlec, Vice-President of the US Olympic Committee for International Affairs and Member of the International Olympic Committee and senior US sport officials. Following the meeting, Prince Nawaf said that many important issues regarding the Olympic movement were discussed during the meeting as well as the activities and programs offered by the International Olympic Committee, particularly the humanitarian programs implemented by the International Relations Committee. "Ways of enhancing cooperation in several Olympic and sports fields between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States were discussed", he said adding that a working group has been formed between the two sides to prepare a draft of programs to be implemented during the coming period. On behalf of Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, Prince Nawaf invited Hybl to visit the Kingdom. Accompanied by Hybl, Prince Nawaf toured a number of sports facilities in the City of Colorado Springs. On the other hand, Prince Nawaf graced the reception party held by the US Olympic Committee in his honor. The party was attended by Mayor of the City of Colorado Springs and a number of sports and media representatives. During this visit, Prince Nawaf was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al-Horaiwel.
