The Palestinian Authority has confirmed that the Israeli government is deliberately working to pollute groundwater sources, air and soil in the West Bank. In an official Memorandum sent to the General Secretariat of the Arab League, it said that the Palestinian Authority needs urgent Arab help to resist the environmental pollution caused by the Israeli authorities and counter health risks resulting from the dozens of Israeli factories located in different parts of the West Bank. The memorandum described the Palestinian Israeli factories in the West Bank as "factories of death," especially since many of these factories are putting its waste in the Palestinian territories in the vicinity of towns and villages as well as camps. The memorandum pointed out that the majority of Israeli factories are constantly spilling waste products in the open and without treatment, which is detrimental to the environment and population in the West Bank. The Memorandum indicated that there is no technical monitoring by the Israeli government of the disposal of wastes especially since Israeli factories dump chemical and flammable gases wastes, which were a major reason behind the contamination of the environment and water resources, air and soil in the West Bank for several years.
