The value of Saudi non-oil exports during last May was SR 8733 million compared with SR 7041 million during the same month last year with an increase by 24% amounted to SR 1692 million. The total of exported weight was 3,296,000 tons compared with 3,044,000 tons with an increase by 8% reaching 252,000 tons. A report issued by the Department of General Statistics and Information at the Ministry of Economy and Planning said that the most important commodities exported by the Kingdom were as follows: --Petrochemicals with a value amounting to SR 2651 million. --Plastics with a value amounting to SR 1821 million. --Ordinary metals and their products with a value amounting to SR 704 million. --Re-exported commodities with a value amounting to SR 1807 million. --The rest of the commodities with a value amounting to SR 1750 million. The total value of Saudi imports during last May amounted to SR 27488 million compared with SR 22648 million during the same month last year with an increase by 21% amounted to SR 4840 million. The total imported weight during the same month reached 3,597,000 tons compared with 3,791,000 tons during last May with a decrease by 5% reaching 194,000. --More
