Twenty-three Austrian tourists were injured, five seriously, when their bus slipped off a bend and overturned near the southern Czech town of Rozmberk nad Vltavou, near the Austrian border, police said, according to dpa. Ambulances and a helicopter took the injured to nearby hospitals. The driver told police the bus was forced off the road by a car that had tried to overtake on the narrow road when another car was approaching, Mlada fronta Dnes daily reported on its website. The bus had been carrying 34 Austrians on a two-day vacation in the regional capital of Ceske Budejovice and nearby Cesky Krumlov, whose castle and historical centre are popular with tourists.
