The launch of space shuttle Endeavour next week has been delayed by 24 hours after engineers had to repair a leak in the crew cabin, US space agency NASA said Friday, according to dpa. The shuttle will now take off for the International Space Station at 6:36 pm (2236 GMT) Wednesday. NASA said it detected a faulty pressure relief valve that caused the leak and had replaced the valve with an intact one from shuttle Atlantis. Endeavour last flew in November 2002, the last US space mission before shuttle Columbia exploded after launch in February 2003, killing all seven astronauts on board and grounding the US fleet.
