The United Arab Emirates and Morocco last night signed a protocol for cooperation on labor and manpower fields. The protocol was signed by Labor Minister Dr Ali bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi and his Moroccan counterpart Mustafa Al Mansouri, the UAE news agency "WAM" reported. The protocol complement an agreement signed in 1981 to regulate employment of Moroccans in the UAE. The protocol calls for intensifying cooperation through exchange of expertise in information on the labor market. It also provides for exempting UAE employers who hire Moroccan workers from certain fees levied by the Labor Ministry, provided that the workers are recruited through direct hire. --MORE
