Floods and landslides killed at least seven persons and caused tens of others missing at Uwe Ruru village, North Bungku subdistrict, Morowali district, Central Sulawesi. Rescuers managed to evacuate seven bodies on Sunday when they were looking for around 30 residents reportedly missing in the flood and landslide disaster, a local resident said here on Monday. Meanwhile, North Bungku Subdsitrict Head Terhar Lawandi when speaking to "ANTARA" news agency on the phone, confirmed that around 30 local residents were buried by landslides hitting Uwe Ruru village located at Lemo hilly area. "A number of local villagers currently continue the search efforts. However, heavy rains hamper the rescue efforts," he said.
