Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior expressed his great joy for the return of 16 Saudi detainees today, who were transferred from Guantanamo Bay. "Saudi Arabia under the directives of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has been exerting a lot of efforts to facilitate the return of the Saudi detainees in Guantanamo Bay Detainment Camp," Said Prince Naif in a statement to The Saudi Press Agency. "The efforts of the Saudi government are supported by detainees' excellent behavior and commitment to Saudi Law and regulations which form the basis for all communications conducted to bring about the transfer of the remaining detainees," he said. Prince Naif said all transferred detainees will come under the purview of the Saudi applicable rules and regulations. He expressed his appreciation for the level of cooperation shown by the concerned US authorities. Prince Naif hoped that the remaining Saudi detainees would also return home in the near future.
