Dr. Salih Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Asheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance received separately here today Iranian Ambassador Sayed Ali Husaini and Greek Ambassador Ioannis- Theodoros Oikononmou. During the meetings, they discussed issues pertaining to Saudi Arabia's relations with Iran and Greece, respectively. In a statement after the meeting, the Iranian ambassador said the meeting is a regular feature as both Saudi Arabia and Iran are large Islamic countries. "There is a plenty of common interests and fields of cooperation in Islamic affairs. We are moving to enhance the bilateral cooperation in Islamic and cultural fields." The Iranian Ambassador reaffirmed the role of Saudi Arabia and Iran in the region, reiterating that with the developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the entire Islamic World will be the prime beneficiary from this sustainable growth in bilateral ties and cooperation.
