An Iraqi photographer and driver employed by Reuters news agency were killed in Iraq Thursday in an area of eastern Baghdad where U.S. forces were battling militants, the London-based agency said. The victims were identified as photographer Namir Noor-Eldeen, 22, and driver Saeed Chmagh, 40, The Associated Press reported. «The cause of their deaths was unclear, although witnesses spoke of an explosion in the area,» Reuters reported. «Iraqi police said either a U.S. air strike or a mortar attack had occurred.» Six employees of Reuters have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, the agency said. «Once again we are left mourning colleagues who have met an untimely death while doing their job in Iraq,» chief executive Tom Glocer said. Noor-Eldeen was single. Chmagh was married with four children, Reuters said.
