The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) denied that a rocket was fired at the special plane of President General Pervez Musharraf when it took off from the Pakistan Air Force Base (PAF) Rawalpindi, near Islamabad, Friday. A loud explosion was heard near the PAF base. Subsequently, heavy firing started at Rawalpindi s Asghar Mall near the base, officials said. Police said they have cordoned off a house in Asghar Mall from where the rocket was reportedly fired. Musharraf flew to Balochistan s flood devastated areas Friday morning. He has reached there.
